Schnackel Engineers was chosen by Brand+Allen Architects as the MEP Engineering consultant to assist in the design of several high-end retail stores. Among them was Bvlgari’s Flagship store in San Francisco. A great deal of preparation, including a visit to Bvlgari’s headquarters in Rome Italy and the “sister store” in Valencia Spain, was taken to study the Italian crafted millwork and intricate Italian lighting fixtures, and then translating these to U.S. approved components, all the while keeping in compliance with strict U.S. codes and energy efficiency standards. Schnackel Engineers direct dealings with the owner in this case exemplifies our ability to transcend language barriers and foreign standards to deliver a highly complex project within tight time constraints.
