Gregory R. Schnackel, PE. , LEED AP.
As President and CEO of Schnackel Engineers, Greg has extensive experience in electrical, plumbing and fire protection design and project management. He has been involved in all phases of supervision, design and drafting of MEP/FP systems for institutional, residential, commercial, industrial and governmental buildings for the past 30 years. That experience includes engineering design, specification writing, field survey, contract administration, technology integration and corporate management. Greg’s experience and success in effectively negotiating with jurisdictions and utility companies provides tremendous value to owners in terms of lower construction costs, utility rebates and lower facility operating expense.
As a LEED accredited professional, he is very sensitive to the importance of US Green Building Council requirements and environmentally sustainable design. He has been involved in numerous LEED certified projects, including several in Hawaii.
Both Greg and Schnackel Engineers are heavily involved in their community, supporting The Bemis Center of Contemporary Art, Catholic Charities, Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, Easter Seals, Friends of the Omaha Zoo, Julia’s Hope, the Kidney Foundation, the March of Dimes, Omaha Children’s Museum, Sacred Heart School, the Red Cross, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Katrina Relief to name a few. Greg currently sits on the board of Easter Seals Nebraska.
