Enhanced HVAC Infection Control - White Paper Series: This is a series of white papers covering the topic of infection control in buildings through enhanced HVAC strategies.
The current world pandemic situation has brought up the question:
1. Methods & Technologies: In this white paper we discuss various types of air filtration/sterilization methods and room devices that are available to improve air quality and reduce the spread of infectious disease in buildings using existing HVAC systems.
2. Filtration: In this white paper, we will discuss the various performance characteristics of HVAC filters with the goal making an informed decision as to the right type of filter to use in a particular HVAC system application.
4. Ionization: In addition to the mechanical filtration and UV-C disinfection methods discussed in our previous white papers, there are a number of other technologies commercially available that claim to disinfect the air or improve the overall air quality. In this white paper we look at one category of those technologies - ionization based air purification systems.
