We are looking for Architectural or Electrical Engineers to join the team!
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparation of superior quality construction documents for Electrical design of buildings including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Develop equipment and device layouts, circuiting, one-line diagrams and specifications
- Reviewing electrical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems
- Close coordination with the Client and the entire design team including owners, architects, contractors, members of other disciplines, and internal support staff to ensure the design is consistent with what the Client has envisioned, to ensure a fully coordinated inter-disciplinary design, and to ensure the design schedule is maintained
- Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers’ representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment
- Conduct project meetings with clients and co-workers
- Assist in the development of proposals for new projects including definition of the project scope, budget estimates, and design schedules
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical Emphasis or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum with a focus on power systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and the Microsoft Office suite
- In possession of or eligible to obtain FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) or PE (Professional Engineer) credentials
- In possession of or eligible to obtain LEED BD+C credentials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to identify, analyze and solve engineering problems using industry standards and engineering calculations
- Previous electrical design experience with an MEP engineering consultant
- Knowledge of switchgear, energization or commissioning, overcurrent and short circuit protection, metering, transformers, surge suppressors, power conditioning, low voltage DC systems
- Experience managing projects and familiarity with related drawing, permitting, and regulatory requirements
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
